“The standard we had at certain moments was exceptionally high. This is the reality. I wouldn't talk like that if it was untrue. But that’s why, in terms of results, I mentioned this is the same story. For that reason I said that a change is coming to things turning around. But for the moment: small things.”

“I saw a lot of encouraging signs that we did, as was the case today. The issue now it’s about performing for 90 minutes. My narrative would change if it was not the case. This is why I am convinced we will manage to turn things around.”

Opposition Reaction Outlook

The victorious boss refused to contemplate a title charge despite what seemed like a landmark win. “Step by step, so we can really build up a challenge,” he said. “The belief in the team is excellent.”
