Ex- Doctor Accused of Assault Allegations Against Thirty-Eight Patients
Legal authorities have announced that a ex- physician now faces charges for committing sexual assaults against thirty-eight individuals who were patients.
Details of the Grave Charges
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of numerous sexual offences – some of which involve some against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
A senior prosecutor said, “Legal teams have worked at length to assist a thorough and intricate investigation, meticulously examining the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
The Police Inquiry
The charges come after what police called a “complex investigation” into alleged sexual offences at two hospitals: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer is due to appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.
List of Offences
The charging documents said the forty-five charges he is charged with:
- Fifteen counts of sexual assault.
- Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
- 9 counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- 1 count of attempting to assault by penetration.
